About Marty

My name is Marty Harbin. I am a husband, a father, a grandfather, a local businessman, and a Christian. I also have the honor of representing you in the State Senate.

This community is my home, and I’m passionate about continuing to serve the wonderful people here with hard work and principle-centered leadership. I believe we deserve a government that serves the people and is accountable to them. Our Founding Fathers gave us an incredible gift - a government of the people, by the people, and for the people - a Constitutional Republic. Many have fought and died to preserve these rights and liberties. I will continue to stand and fight for these sacred values.

As your Senator, I am guided by three simple principles – faith, family, and freedom. Our Founding Fathers provided a Constitution that protects our freedoms. The most important freedom of all is our freedom to believe and worship as we see fit. But, to me, the most important of these is the family. The family is the cornerstone of our society and our success and happiness in life.

I pledge to you that I will always stand for our conservative values.I will never back down, and I will be a bold champion fighting for you in the State Senate.

We are doing good things at the State Capitol, and we need bold, conservative leadership in the State Senate to continue that.

Georgia has been number one for business for five consecutive years. We just passed the first reduction in personal income tax since 1934, and the first major overhaul of our adoption laws in decades.

This year, with help from the economic boost of President Trump’s tax cuts, we were able to fully restore state funding for public education for the first time since the Great Recession. We need to continue to fund our public schools but also embrace innovation to make education better. I support a focus on teaching students the skills they need to go on to college or technical school so that they can secure jobs. We need to help our students be prepared for real life and help them succeed.

And we are making real progress in reducing government regulations on businesses. As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand that getting government out of the way is usually the best thing to help businesses grow and create new jobs.

I humbly ask for your vote once again with a simple pledge to continue to be your bold, conservative champion fighting for you and our conservative values in the State Senate.

I ask for your prayers, your support and your vote on May 22nd.

God bless you, the great State of Georgia and our United States.

Thank you,
